Other Planning and Development Issues

CARA monitors local planning and development issues and has provided input through meetings, presentations and reports on various local planning issues.  These have included local developments such as TD Lands and the Creemore Village Green, Alliance, MacIntosh, Steer Enterprises and the Creemore Springs expansion described in detail in the Community Planning and Development pages of our site.

CARA participated actively on the TD Lands Committee to help determine the future of the TD building and work with Small Consultants who managed the public consultations. The Creemore Village Green is an active public green space financed and managed by the Creemore Community ‘Foundation and will open in August 2022.

Seniors’ housing interests us – there is a need to find more housing solutions for seniors who would like to live centrally in Creemore, including affordable housing options.

We supported the community’s attempt to preserve the Collingwood Street bridge in Creemore.

We have also made submissions to Simcoe County and the Province of Ontario on growth management issues which affect Creemore and Clearview.  Examples include:
